Designed and unveiled at the 9th Annual Cranbrook Academy of Art Chair Show (2009), the Lounge is the flagship piece of the Popixel Collection, introducing the notion of “Popsicle stick craft” reinterpreted: 36,000 ice cream sticks atop an elastic substrate creating not only an intriguing surface, but a deceptively comfortable cushion that conforms to the occupant’s body, slowly returning to its original position after the occupant rises.
