Eleven34 is a small sculptural stool with concave-faceted surfaces, sculpted from a 3-inch-thick slab of Walnut. Although a seemingly counterintuitive way to express the sheer mass of the material — dicing the slab into cubes, the fragments were then reassembled spaced apart, thus revealing every dimension and grain figure of the original stock — in effect, an exploded view of the tree from which Eleven34 materialized.
